GOOD MORNING!!!
Or good evening or maybe afternoon? Timezones are confusing man. Either way, I decided to check this site out to find alternatives to Tumblr. This is one of the sites that has been suggested to me by a friend with the other one being Pillowfort. I decided to make accounts for both. I use the same username there as here: Inkellman.
The site has been down today, so I decided that I should take this as the time to work on my account here. Thus, I'll put it out here as to what you should expect.
First is that my blog is primarily targeted at 18+ audiences, since I draw porn and gore. My characters also heavily use offensive language (feeling like putting this out there), so those who are sensitive towards such matters are NOT a part of my audience, and I place appropriate filters to prevent people from viewing them.
While I accept constructive criticism (call my shit ugly but tell me WHY it is), I am within my rights to create content that I want to produce. Responsibility is a two-way street and if the critique is based on how offended you are rather than the actual quality of my work you will be ignored.
Interesting, your work sounds like my cup of tea. Also define offensive language? Is that purely just vulgarity as far as terms and using foul language or is it sensitive wording? Such as things that lack political correctness. I'm fine with either as only slurs fill me with the slightest discomfort. I will be following you for your work in the future..
@asknemonic When I mentioned offensive language, a lot of them heavily rely on context. This does include both vulgarity and slurs, so it should be kept in mind that some are used to diversify the personalities of characters, who don't necessarily reflect the author's morals.
Contexts to look out for:
1) Is the character a villain?
2) Is the character joking or being ironic?
3) Is the character supposed to be rude?
